Our telescoping outer cover for a 10-frame beehive has an with aluminum top to help protect the hive from the elements. It is made with 3/8 plywood recessed into dado groove for additional strength.
It comes fully assemble and is ready to use.
Optional hot wax treatment available. Cover is boiled in paraffin wax to remove all moisture from wood, for $8
additional (quantities may be limited). Water will bead off wood and
not penetrate, so no chance of rot or bug damage. No need to
paint.
